7 U.S.C. § 473c–2 — Penalties for offenses relating to sampling of cotton

Breaking any cotton-sampling rule in section 473c-1 is a misdemeanor. A conviction can bring a fine up to $1,000. It can also mean up to a year in prison, or both.
Anyone who breaks any rule in section 473c–1 of this title commits a misdemeanor. On conviction, a court may fine that person up to $1,000, imprison them for up to one year, or both.
Any person violating any provision of section 473c–1 of this title shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not more than $1,000, or imprisoned not more than one year, or both.
