This chapter defines four terms. "Eligible orchardist" is someone who grows annual crops from trees for profit. "Natural disaster" covers things like plant disease, insects, drought, fire, freeze, flood, earthquake, and lightning. "Secretary" means the Secretary of Agriculture, and "tree" includes trees, bushes, and vines.
In this chapter:
The term “eligible orchardist” means a person that produces annual crops from trees for commercial purposes.
The term “natural disaster” means plant disease, insect infestation, drought, fire, freeze, flood, earthquake, lightning, and other occurrence, as determined by the Secretary.
The term “Secretary” means the Secretary of Agriculture.
The term “tree” includes a tree, bush, and vine.
