7 U.S.C. § 87d — Responsibility for acts of others

If an official, agent, or worker breaks this chapter's rules while acting within their job for an association, partnership, or corporation, the law treats it as that organization's violation too. It's not just the individual's fault. Both the person and the organization are held responsible.
When applying and enforcing this chapter, if an official, agent, or other person* breaks a rule, or fails to do something required, while acting within the scope of their job for an association, partnership, or corporation, the law always treats that as a violation by the association, partnership, or corporation as well as by the individual person.
When construing and enforcing the provisions of this chapter, the act, omission, or failure of any official, agent, or other person* acting for or employed by any association, partnership, or corporation within the scope of the employment or office of the official, agent, or other person shall, in every case, also be deemed the act, omission, or failure of such association, partnership, or corporation as well as that of the person.
