10 U.S.C. § 12322 — Active duty for health care

This section lets certain uniformed service members stay on active duty, or be newly ordered to it, for longer than 30 days if they are being treated for, or recovering from, an injury, illness, or disease that happened or got worse in the line of duty. Members described in section 1074a(a) paragraph (1)(B) or (2)(B) can be ordered onto active duty for this reason. Members already covered by paragraph (1)(A) or (2)(A) of the same section can be continued on active duty instead of being newly ordered.
