10 U.S.C. § 20403 — Officers: standards and qualifications for retention

(a) Standards to stay in active status. To remain in active status, a Space Force officer must (1) earn, in each applicable yearly period, the number of points required under section 12732(a)(2), as set by the Secretary of the Air Force, and (2) meet any other standards and qualifications the Secretary sets for Space Force officers. (b) A cap on the point requirement. The Secretary cannot require more than 50 points as the minimum under subsection (a). (c) What happens if an officer falls short. An officer who doesn't earn the required points, or doesn't meet the other standards, may be sent to a board convened under section 20501(a).
