16 U.S.C. § 426 — Stones River National Battlefield; establishment; appointment of commission

This law creates a commission for the Stones River National Battlefield, appointed by the Interior Secretary. It has three members: a Corps of Engineers officer, a Union Civil War veteran, and a Confederate Civil War veteran.
A commission is created, to be composed of the following members, who shall be appointed by the Secretary of the Interior:
A commissioned officer of the Corps of Engineers, United States Army;
A veteran of the Civil War who served honorably in the military forces of the United States; and
A veteran of the Civil War who served honorably in the military forces of the Confederate States of America.
