16 U.S.C. § 426a — Qualifications of members of commission

When choosing members for the Stones River battlefield commission, the Secretary of the Interior should pick people who know the battlefield's land. They should also know the history connected to it. This standard applies as far as is practical.
In appointing the members of the commission created by section 426 of this title the Secretary of the Interior shall, as far as practicable, select persons familiar with the terrain of the battlefield of Stones River, Tennessee, and the historical events associated therewith.
