40 U.S.C. § 17103 — Commercial standards for passenger safety devices

This section is one undivided provision. It requires the Administrator of General Services to write commercial standards for the passenger safety devices that section 17102 of this title requires on Federal motor vehicles. The Administrator must publish these standards in the Federal Register, the official government journal for public notices. When the Administrator later changes those standards, the changes do not take effect right away — they become effective one year and 90 days after the changed standards are published in the Federal Register.
