42 U.S.C. § 15029 — Authorization of appropriations

(a) Funding for State allotments. Except as subsection (b) says, Congress can appropriate $76,000,000 for State allotments under section 15022 for fiscal year 2001, and whatever amount is needed for fiscal years 2002 through 2007. (b) Reservation for technical assistance. (1) Lower appropriation years. If the amount appropriated under subsection (a) is less than $76,000,000 for a year, the Secretary must reserve funds — following section 15083(c) — for technical assistance to entities funded under this part. (2) Higher appropriation years. If the amount is $76,000,000 or more, the Secretary must instead reserve between $300,000 and 1% of that amount for the same kind of technical assistance.
