42 U.S.C. § 283a — Annual reporting to increase interagency collaboration and coordination

(a) Collaboration with other HHS agencies: Every year, the Director of NIH must send the Secretary of Health and Human Services a report on NIH's activities that involve working together with other agencies inside the Department of Health and Human Services. (b) Clinical trials: Every calendar year, the Director of NIH must send the Commissioner of Food and Drugs a report listing every clinical trial that got registered that year in the databank set up under section 282(i) of this title. (c) Human tissue samples: Every year, the Director of NIH must send Congress a report describing how NIH and its agencies store and keep track of human tissue samples. (d) First report: The first report required under subsections (a), (b), and (c) had to be sent no later than one year after January 15, 2007.
