5 U.S.C. § 5735 — Travel, transportation, and relocation expenses of employees transferring to the United States Postal Service

(a) Despite any other law, a Defense Department employee described in subsection (b) may receive travel, transportation, and relocation expenses and allowances connected with the appointment described there, under the same conditions and to the same extent as transferred employees. (b) This applies to a Defense Department employee who (1) is scheduled to leave the Department for a reason other than cause; (2) is selected for a continuing Postal Service position; and (3) accepts it.
