51 U.S.C. § 70906 — International Space Station National Laboratory Advisory Committee

(a) Establishment — Within one year after October 15, 2008, the Administrator must set up, under chapter 10 of title 5, a committee called the “International Space Station National Laboratory Advisory Committee.” (b) Membership — (1) Composition: The Committee is made up of people who represent organizations that have formal agreements with the Administration to use the United States part of the International Space Station, including shares within partner-owned sections. (2) Chair: The Administrator appoints the Committee's chair from among its members, for a 2-year term. (c) Duties of the Committee — (1) In general: The Committee watches, evaluates, and makes recommendations about how well the International Space Station is used as a national laboratory and research platform. (2) Annual report: The Committee must give the Administrator a report with its assessments and recommendations at least once a year, or more often if most of its members think that's needed. (d) Duration — The Committee exists for as long as the International Space Station does.
