6 U.S.C. § 203 — Functions transferredtransferred

Following the transition rules in subchapter XII, the following are transferred to the Secretary — meaning their jobs, employees, property, and debts all move to the Secretary: (1) The U.S. Customs Service (from the Treasury Department), including the Treasury Secretary's related duties. (2) The Transportation Security Administration (from the Transportation Department), including the related duties of the Secretary of Transportation and the Under Secretary of Transportation for Security. (3) The Federal Protective Service (from the General Services Administration), including the related duties of the GSA Administrator. (4) The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (from the Treasury Department). (5) The Office for Domestic Preparedness (from the Justice Department's Office of Justice Programs), including the related duties of the Attorney General.
