The Secretary of the Army may set how many warrant officers serve in the Army Reserve. The Secretary of the Air Force may do the same for the Air Force Reserve.
The Secretary of the Army* may decide the authorized number of warrant officers in the Army Reserve. Separately, the Secretary of the Air Force may decide the authorized number of warrant officers in the Air Force Reserve.
The Secretary of the Army* may prescribe the authorized strength* of the Army Reserve in warrant officers. The Secretary of the Air Force may prescribe the authorized strength of the Air Force Reserve in warrant officers.
