During an initial mobilization, National Guard units called into active federal service must, as much as possible, keep the same organization they had on the day the mobilization order was issued.
This section applies during an initial mobilization. When a unit of the Army National Guard of the United States* or the Air National Guard of the United States* is ordered into active federal service, that unit must, as far as practical, keep the same organizational structure it had on the date it was ordered to duty.
During an initial mobilization, the organization of a unit of the Army National Guard of the United States* or of the Air National Guard of the United States* ordered into active Federal service shall, so far as practicable, be maintained as it existed on the date of the order to duty.
