10 U.S.C. § 12772 — Reserve commissioned officers who have served as Attending Physician to the Congress: grade on transfer to Retired Reserve
submitted 32 years ago by Pub. L. 103-337 to r/title-10-ARMED-FORCES · 62 words · no verdicts yet
A reserve officer who served as Attending Physician to the Congress gets a special rule. On moving to the Retired Reserve, the officer keeps the grade held in that position. This applies unless another law entitles the officer to a higher grade.
Unless entitled to a higher grade* under another provision of law, a reserve commissioned officer* who is transferred to the Retired Reserve after having served in the position of Attending Physician to the Congress is entitled to be placed on the retired list established by section 12774(a) of this title in the grade held by the officer* while serving in that position.
