This section addresses Retirement: retirement for years of service; selective early retirement. It sets out the requirements, permissions, definitions, limits, and other rules stated in the section.
(a) Retirement for Years of Service.— Sections 14507 through 14515 of this title must apply to the retirement of officers in competitive categories of officers designated to this chapter.
(b) Selective Early Retirement.— Section 14101(b) of this title must apply to the retirement of officers described in subsection (a).
Sections 14507 through 14515 of this title shall apply to the retirement of officers in competitive categories of officers designated for purposes of this chapter.
Section 14101(b) of this title shall apply to the retirement of officers described in subsection (a).
