The Defense Secretary must create an undergraduate training program for Defense Intelligence Agency civilian employees similar to the authorized National Security Agency program. Payments depend on available appropriations.
(a) The Defense Secretary must establish an undergraduate training program for civilian Defense Intelligence Agency employees similar in purpose, conditions, content, and administration to the program authorized under section 16 of the National Security Agency Act of 1959 for NSA civilian employees.
(b) Payments for the required program may be made in a fiscal year only to the extent appropriated funds are available.
The Secretary of Defense shall establish an undergraduate training program with respect to civilian employees of the Defense Intelligence Agency that is similar in purpose, conditions, content, and administration to the program which the Secretary of Defense is authorized to establish under section 16 of the National Security Agency Act of 1959 (50 U.S.C. 3614) for civilian employees of the National Security Agency.
Any payments made by the Secretary to carry out the program required to be established by subsection (a) may be made in any fiscal year only to the extent that appropriated funds are available for that purpose.
