The Secretary of Defense and each military-department Secretary may pay a reward of up to $500. The information must lead to discovering or recovering missing property under that Secretary's jurisdiction.
The Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of each military department may pay* a reward of not more than $500 in any case for information that leads to discovering missing property under that Secretary's jurisdiction or leads to recovering that property.
The Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of each military department may pay* a reward of not more than $500 in any case for information leading to the discovery of missing property under the jurisdiction of that Secretary or leading to the recovery of such property.
