10 U.S.C. § 3064 — Applicability of chapter 137 legacy provisions

Chapter 137 legacy provisions apply to covered agencies’ purchases of non-land property and services paid from appropriated funds. Property-procurement provisions also apply to installation or alteration contracts.
(a) General applicability. Any provision of this part that is a “chapter 137 legacy provision” applies to a covered agency’s procurement, for its own use or otherwise, of all property other than land and all services paid from appropriated funds. This section does not define the quoted term. (b) Installation or alteration. A chapter 137 legacy provision that applies to procuring property also applies to contracts to install or alter that property.
Any provision of this part that is a chapter 137 legacy provision applies to the procurement by any of the agencies named in section 3063 of this title, for its use or otherwise, of all property (other than land) and all services for which payment is to be made from appropriated funds.
The provisions of this part that are chapter 137 legacy provisions* that apply to the procurement of property apply also to contracts for its installation or alteration.
