This section sets rules about limitation on indemnification. It states the requirements and exceptions in the explanation.
Funds appropriated to the Department of Defense may not be used to indemnify any person under the terms of a contract entered into under this chapter— (1) for any amount paid or due by any person to the United States for any liability arising under the Internal Revenue Code of 1986; or (2) to pay* any attorneys’ fees in connection with such contract.
