This section permits costs of operating and maintaining infrastructure at the Nevada National Security Site to be paid from Department of Energy funds for site activities started after September 30, 1996, by the Department of Defense under a work-for-others agreement.
Despite any other law, effective September 30, 1996, costs of operating and maintaining infrastructure at the Nevada National Security Site for activities the Department of Defense started there after that date under a work-for-others agreement may be paid from funds authorized for the Department of Energy's activities at that site.
Notwithstanding any other provision of law and effective as of September 30, 1996, the costs associated with operating and maintaining the infrastructure at the Nevada National Security Site, Nevada, with respect to any activities initiated at the site after that date by the Department of Defense pursuant to a work-for-others agreement may be paid for from funds authorized to be appropriated to the Department of Energy for activities at the Nevada National Security Site.
