10 U.S.C. § 7456 — Use of certain gifts

Under the Secretary’s regulations, the Superintendent may accept and use small gifts of personal property for the Academy or its entities. The Secretary may pay reasonable transfer expenses.
Under the Secretary of the Army’s regulations, and without regard to section 2601, the Superintendent may accept, hold, administer, invest, and spend a gift, devise, or bequest of personal property worth $20,000 or less that is made to the United States on the condition that it benefit the Academy or one of its entities. The Secretary may pay* or authorize reasonable and necessary expenses of transferring such a gift, devise, or bequest.
Under regulations prescribed by the Secretary of the Army*, the Superintendent of the Academy may (without regard to section 2601 of this title) accept, hold, administer, invest, and spend any gift, devise, or bequest of personal property of a value of $20,000 or less made to the United States on the condition that such gift, devise, or bequest be used for the benefit of the Academy or any entity thereof. The Secretary may pay* or authorize the payment of all reasonable and necessary expenses in connection with the conveyance or transfer of a gift, devise, or bequest under this section.
