The Secretary of the Army may run schools and training camps. These prepare warrant officers, enlisted soldiers, and civilians to become Army Reserve officers or noncommissioned officers. Attendance is voluntary - people apply to join.
The Secretary of the Army* is allowed to run schools and camps that give military instruction and training. These are for people who apply and are chosen from among warrant officers, enlisted members of the Army, and civilians. The goal is to qualify them for appointment as Army Reserve officers, or enlistment as Army Reserve noncommissioned officers, for service in the Army Reserve.
The Secretary of the Army* may maintain schools and camps for the military instruction and training of persons selected, upon their application, from warrant officers and enlisted members of the Army and civilians, to qualify them for appointment as reserve officers, or enlistment as reserve noncommissioned officers, for service in the Army Reserve.
