10 U.S.C. § 7625 — Ordnance property: officers of armed forces; civilian employees of Army; American National Red Cross; educational institutions; homes for veterans’ orphans

(a) Sales to other military officers. Any Army branch, office, or officer the Secretary of the Army designates may sell ordnance property (weapons and related equipment) to officers of other armed forces for their own service use, the same way it is sold to Army officers. (b) Civilian employees and the Red Cross. Under rules the Secretary sets, ordnance stores may be sold to Army civilian employees and to the American National Red Cross. (c) Schools and veterans' homes. Ordnance property may be sold to educational institutions and to state homes for soldiers' and sailors' orphans, so they can maintain the ordnance and ordnance stores those institutions and homes already have.
