10 U.S.C. § 924a — Art. 124a. Bribery

(a) Asking, accepting, or receiving something valuable. A person subject to this chapter violates this provision if both of these are true:
(1) The person holds an official position or has official duties; and
(2) The person wrongfully asks for, accepts, or receives something valuable intending to influence the person's decision or action about an official matter in which the United States has an interest.
The person may be punished as a court-martial directs.

(b) Promising, offering, or giving something valuable. A person subject to this chapter who wrongfully promises, offers, or gives something valuable to another person who holds an official position or has official duties, intending to influence that other person's decision or action about an official matter in which the United States has an interest, may be punished as a court-martial directs. This section does not define “thing of value” or “official matter.”
