This section directs Federal housing agencies to exercise their powers in ways that reduce congested urban areas’ vulnerability to enemy attack, consistently with other legal requirements.
The Department of Housing and Urban Development and other Federal agencies with housing duties shall exercise those duties, consistently with legal requirements, in ways that help reduce congested urban areas’ vulnerability to enemy attack.
The Department of Housing and Urban Development, and any other departments or agencies of the Federal Government having powers, functions, or duties with respect to housing under any law shall exercise such powers, functions, or duties in such manner as, consistent with the requirements thereof, will facilitate progress in the reduction of the vulnerability of congested urban areas to enemy attack.
