13 U.S.C. § 16 — Address information reviewed by States and local governments

“local unit of general purpose government” applies in that section

the term “local unit of general purpose government” has the meaning given such term by section 184(1) of this title ; and;

“State” applies in that section

the term “State” includes the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, Guam, the Virgin Islands, and any other territory or possession of the United States.

13 U.S.C. § 91 — Collection and publication

“small business concern” applies in that section

The term “small business concern” means a business concern that meets the requirements of section 3(a) of the Small Business Act and the regulations promulgated pursuant thereto.;

“survey” applies in that section

The term “survey” means the collection of information by the Secretary pursuant to this section for the purpose of preparing the publication entitled “Quarterly Financial Report for Manufacturing, Mining, and Trade Corporations”.

13 U.S.C. § 184 — Definitions

“local unit of general purpose government” applies throughout its subchapter

the term “local unit of general purpose government” means the government of a county, municipality, township, Indian tribe, Alaskan native village, or other unit of government (other than a State) which is a unit of general government, and;

“State” applies throughout its subchapter

the term “State” includes the District of Columbia.
