The Federal Trade Commission enforces sections 69a, 69d, and 69h(b) of this subchapter under the Federal Trade Commission Act. It can inspect fur products, work with other government agencies, and issue rules on disclosing information. Manufacturers and dealers must keep records for three years, or forfeit $100 per day to the United States.

(a) The Federal Trade Commission enforces sections 69a, 69d, and 69h(b) of this subchapter. It uses the same rules, procedures, and powers given to it by the Federal Trade Commission Act. The Commission must stop anyone from breaking those sections. It has the same power to do this as if the Federal Trade Commission Act were written directly into this subchapter. Anyone who violates section 69a, 69d, or 69h(b) faces the same penalties, and gets the same rights and protections, that the Federal Trade Commission Act provides. (b) The Commission must write rules explaining how businesses have to disclose the information this subchapter requires. It can also write any other rules needed to run and enforce this subchapter. (c) The Commission can inspect, test, and examine any fur product or fur covered by this subchapter. It can also work with other government bodies on anything related to this subchapter's goals. That includes any federal department or agency, any state, territory, or possession, the District of Columbia, any of their subdivisions, or any person. (d) Every manufacturer or dealer in fur products or furs must keep proper records. These records must show the information this subchapter requires for every fur product or fur they handle. They must keep these records for at least three years. Failing to keep or preserve these records is against the law. A manufacturer or dealer who neglects or refuses to keep them owes the United States $100 for each day the failure continues. The government can collect this money through a civil lawsuit.
