15 U.S.C. § 78kk — Authorization of appropriations

Congress authorized extra funding for the SEC beyond any other funds it already gets. The amounts rise each year from $1.3 billion in fiscal year 2011 to $2.25 billion in fiscal year 2015.
In addition to any other funds authorized to be appropriated to the Commission*, there are authorized to be appropriated to carry out the functions, powers, and duties of the Commission—
for fiscal year 2011, $1,300,000,000;
for fiscal year 2012, $1,500,000,000;
for fiscal year 2013, $1,750,000,000;
for fiscal year 2014, $2,000,000,000; and
for fiscal year 2015, $2,250,000,000.
