16 U.S.C. § 122 — Control; regulations

This section puts Crater Lake National Park under the control of the Secretary of the Interior. The Secretary must write rules and take steps to: protect the park's natural objects; protect the timber from being wastefully cut or damaged ("wanton depredation"); preserve all types of game and fish in the park; punish people who trespass; remove people who occupy or intrude on the park unlawfully; and prevent and put out forest fires. The section does not divide these duties into separate lettered parts — it lists them together as one continuous set of responsibilities the Secretary must carry out.
