16 U.S.C. § 122a — Water quality of Crater Lake; studies and investigations; report to Congress

This section directs the Secretary of the Interior to study and protect Crater Lake's water quality. The Secretary of the Interior is authorized and directed to promptly start studies and investigations into the status of, and any changes in, Crater Lake's water quality, and to immediately carry out whatever actions are necessary to keep the lake's natural, pristine water quality. Within two years of this provision taking effect, and then every two years after that for ten years, the Secretary must report the results of these studies and any actions taken to the appropriate congressional committees.
