The Secretary of the Interior runs the Olympic National Park through the National Park Service. This follows the 1916 law that created the National Park Service, as later amended.
The Secretary of the Interior, acting through the National Park Service, directs the administration, protection, and development of the Olympic National Park. This is done under the Act of August 25, 1916 (39 Stat. 535), the law that created the National Park Service, as that Act has since been amended.
The administration, protection, and development of the Olympic National Park shall be exercised under the direction of the Secretary of the Interior by the National Park Service, subject to the provisions of the Act of August 25, 1916 (39 Stat. 535), entitled “An Act to establish a National Park Service, and for other purposes”,1 as amended.
