16 U.S.C. § 271e — Report to President

Within three years of November 12, 1971, the Secretary of the Interior must send the President a report about Canyonlands National Park. The report must recommend which areas within the park, if any, are suitable — or not suitable — to be protected as wilderness. This report must be prepared following the process set out in section 1132(c) and (d) of this title — the general law covering how federal agencies study land and recommend wilderness areas. If any part of the park is later designated as wilderness, that designation must also be carried out following that same section 1132(c) and (d) process.
