The Secretary of the Navy may transfer a former naval radio station in Maine to the Interior Department. The 223-acre tract, in Southwest Harbor, becomes part of Acadia National Park. The Navy no longer needs the land.
The Secretary of the Navy is allowed to transfer land to the Secretary of the Interior. The land is added to Acadia National Park. It covers about 223 acres, plus any buildings on it. This land is in the town of Southwest Harbor, Hancock County, Maine. It used to be the Navy's radio station at Seawall. The Navy no longer needs this land for its own purposes, so it can hand it over to become park land.
The Secretary of the Navy is authorized to transfer to the control and jurisdiction of the Secretary of the Interior as an addition to the Acadia National Park all that tract of land containing two hundred and twenty-three acres, more or less, with improvements thereon, comprising the former naval radio station at Seawall, town of Southwest Harbor, Hancock County, Maine, said tract being no longer needed for naval purposes.
