This section preserves the rest of the chapter if a court invalidates one provision or its application. The same applies to the provision’s application to other people or circumstances.
If any provision of this chapter or the application of it to any person or circumstance is held invalid, the remainder of the chapter and the application of such provision to other persons not similarly situated or to other circumstances must not be affected thereby.
If any provision of this chapter or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, the remainder of the chapter and the application of such provision to other persons not similarly situated or to other circumstances shall not be affected thereby.
