Any federal agency whose work directly affects the Cane River heritage area must consult the Secretary and the Commission about its planned actions, and coordinate with the Commission as much as possible to limit harm to the area's resources.
Any Federal entity conducting or supporting activities directly affecting the heritage area shall—
consult with the Secretary and the Commission with respect to implementation of their proposed actions; and
to the maximum extent practicable, coordinate such activities with the Commission to minimize potential impacts on the resources of the heritage area.
