16 U.S.C. § 410ccc–4 — General management plan

Within 3 years after funding becomes available, and working with the Cane River Heritage Area Commission, the National Park Service must prepare a general management plan for the historical park. The plan must include, at minimum: (1) a visitor use plan showing programs and facilities offered to the public, including the location and cost of an interpretive center; (2) programs and management actions the Park Service will carry out together with the Heritage Area Commission, including preservation treatments for important sites, structures, objects, and research materials — planning must cover educational media, roadway signs, and brochures coordinated with the Commission under section 410ccc–23; and (3) preservation and use plans for sites and structures identified for Park Service involvement through cooperative agreements.
