The Secretary must run Adams National Historical Park under the general national park laws. The Secretary may make agreements with outside groups to help preserve and use the park. Any old reference to the "Adams National Historic Site" now means this historical park.

(a) In general: The Secretary must run the park under this section and the general laws that apply to all National Park System units, including the 1916 Act that created the National Park Service and the 1935 Act on historic preservation, as amended. (b) Cooperative agreements: (1) The Secretary may work with and make agreements with interested groups and individuals to preserve, develop, explain ("interpret"), and use the park. (2) If the Secretary pays money under one of these agreements, and the funded project is later converted, used, or gotten rid of for a purpose the Secretary decides goes against this law's aims, the United States has a right to be paid back — either all the funds it gave, or the share of the project's increased value that came from those funds, whichever is more. (c) Acquisition of real property: For the park's purposes, the Secretary may acquire real property inside the park's boundaries, using appropriated or donated funds, by donation, or by exchange. (d) Omitted: This subsection was left blank or removed by Congress; the source text does not say what it originally covered. (e) References to historic site: Any mention, in any law other than this one, or in any regulation, document, record, map, or other government paper, of the "Adams National Historic Site" now means the historical park.
