16 U.S.C. § 410ffff–4 — Administration of historical park

(a) In general: The Secretary must run the historical park under this law and the general laws for all National Park System units — including the 1916 National Park Service Act and the 1935 historic preservation Act — except the Secretary can't take any action on the 60 acres owned by Connecticut until the state transfers full ownership to the Secretary. (b) Cooperative agreements: (1) The Secretary may consult and make agreements with the Weir Farm Heritage Trust, the State of Connecticut, the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and other groups to develop, present, and fund art exhibits, artist-in-residence programs, and other activities tied to preserving, developing, and using the historical park. (2) The Secretary may also make agreements with the Nature Conservancy and the towns of Ridgefield and Wilton to coordinate activities on the historical park with activities on the Nature Conservancy's Weir Preserve and nearby town-owned land. (c) Exhibits: The Secretary may display, and accept for display, artwork connected to J. Alden Weir, Weir Farm, and the American Impressionist movement, as needed to explain the historical park to visitors. (d) General management plan: Within two full fiscal years after October 31, 1990, the Secretary had to send Congress's House Interior and Insular Affairs Committee and Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee a general management plan for the historical park, prepared following section 100502 of title 54 and other applicable law.
