16 U.S.C. § 410ggg–3 — Authorization of appropriations

Congress authorized money for oral histories, preservation, and visitor services at the park. It also authorized $1,000,000 for historical artifacts and funds to buy listed properties. None of this money may be used for the ship S.S. RED OAK VICTORY.
(a) In general: (1) Congress authorizes whatever sums are necessary to conduct oral histories and carry out preservation, interpretation, education, and other essential visitor services under this subchapter. (2) Congress authorizes $1,000,000 for acquiring and caring for historical artifacts related to the park.
(b) Property acquisition: Congress authorizes whatever sums are necessary to acquire the properties listed in section 410ggg–1(e)(2) of this title.
(c) Limitation on use of funds for S.S. RED OAK VICTORY: None of the money authorized by this section may be used to operate, maintain, or preserve the vessel S.S. RED OAK VICTORY.
There are authorized to be appropriated such sums as may be necessary to conduct oral histories and to carry out the preservation, interpretation, education, and other essential visitor services provided for by this subchapter.
There are authorized to be appropriated $1,000,000 for the acquisition and curation of historical artifacts related to the park.
There are authorized to be appropriated such sums as are necessary to acquire the properties listed in section 410ggg–1(e)(2) of this title.
None of the funds authorized to be appropriated by this section may be used for the operation, maintenance, or preservation of the vessel S.S. RED OAK VICTORY.
