16 U.S.C. § 410iii–11 — Roles of key partner organizations

(a) In general Because key partner organizations already own and run parts of the Park for the public's benefit, the Secretary must recognize and support their continued role in managing the Park. (b) Park partners (1) The Cedar Creek Battlefield Foundation may keep owning, operating, and managing the land it has acquired inside the Park, keep holding reenactments and other events there, and transfer ownership of parts of its land to the National Park Service by donation, sale, or another method meeting the Park Service's normal land-acquisition rules. (2) The National Trust for Historic Preservation and Belle Grove Incorporated may keep owning, operating, and managing Belle Grove Plantation and its buildings and grounds inside the Park; Belle Grove Incorporated may also keep owning the house and grounds known as Bowman's Fort or Harmony Hall to preserve it permanently, with a long-term goal of opening it to the public. (3) Shenandoah County may keep owning, operating, and managing the Keister park site inside the Park for the public's benefit. (4) The Secretary must cooperate with the Park's neighboring historic towns of Strasburg and Middletown, Virginia, and with Frederick, Shenandoah, and Warren Counties, to further the Park's purposes. (5) The Shenandoah Valley Battlefields Foundation may keep running the Shenandoah Valley Battlefields National Historic District, in partnership with the National Park Service and following the District's management plan, which covers the Park.
