16 U.S.C. § 410iiii–2 — Establishment of the Civil Rights in Education: Brown v. Board of Education National Historical Park

(a) In general This subsection creates the Brown v. Board of Education National Historical Park, in Kansas, as a unit of the National Park System. (b) Description The historical park consists of the Monroe Elementary School site in Topeka, Shawnee County, Kansas, generally shown on the map titled "Brown v. Board of Education National Historic Site," numbered Appendix A and dated June 1992, which must be kept on file and open for public inspection at National Park Service offices. (c) Boundary adjustment (1) In addition to the land in subsection (b), the historical park also includes the land shown on the map titled "Brown v. Board of Education National Historical Park Boundary Additions and Affiliated Areas," numbered 462/178,449 and dated February 2022, made up of (A) the Summerton High School site in Summerton, Clarendon County, South Carolina; (B) the former Scott's Branch High School site, also in Summerton; and (C) about 1 acre next to Monroe Elementary School in Topeka. (2) That map must also be kept on file and open for public inspection at National Park Service offices.
