Congress can appropriate money to buy land for the Petersburg National Battlefield expansion at Five Forks. The total cannot exceed $90,000. The money must be used only for the land acquisition described in section 423h-2.
This section authorizes Congress to appropriate funding to acquire land under section 423h-2 — the Five Forks addition to the Petersburg National Battlefield. That funding is capped: no more than $90,000 total may be appropriated for this purpose.
There are authorized to be appropriated such sums, but not more than $90,000, as are necessary to acquire land pursuant to section 423h–2 of this title.
