16 U.S.C. § 430h–4 — Jurisdiction over lands and roads
submitted 63 years ago by Pub. L. 88-37 to r/title-16-CONSERVATION · 40 words · no verdicts yet
in plain englishAI-generated · not legal advice
Once the land and road transfers authorized in the earlier section are completed, the federal government's legal authority over that land ends. Legal authority then rests with the State of Mississippi.
This section addresses legal jurisdiction. Mississippi had earlier given the United States authority over these park lands and roads. Once the conveyances authorized in the earlier section are delivered and accepted, that federal jurisdiction over the transferred lands and roads stops. Jurisdiction then rests in the State of Mississippi.
