This law adds about 8 acres called Wallis House and Harriston Hill to Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. The Secretary may get this land by donation, purchase, or exchange. Once acquired, the land becomes part of the park under normal park rules.
This section expands the boundary of Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park.
(a) Definitions. Two terms are defined for this section. "Map" means a specific map titled "Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park, Proposed Boundary Adjustment," numbered 325/80,020 and dated February 2010. "Park" means the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park.
(b) Boundary adjustment.
(1) The park's boundary is expanded to include about 8 acres of land known as "Wallis House and Harriston Hill," shown generally on the map.
(2) The map itself is kept on file and can be inspected at the appropriate National Park Service offices.
(3) The Secretary may acquire this land by donation, by purchase from a willing seller, or by exchange.
(4) Once the Secretary acquires this land, it must be managed as part of the park, following all the laws and regulations that normally apply to the park.
In this section:
The term “map” means the map entitled “Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park, Proposed Boundary Adjustment”, numbered 325/80,020, and dated February 2010.
The term “Park” means the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park.
The boundary of the Park is modified to include the approximately 8 acres of land or interests in land identified as “Wallis House and Harriston Hill”, as generally depicted on the map.
The map shall be on file and available for inspection in the appropriate offices of the National Park Service.
The Secretary may acquire land or interests in land described in paragraph (1) by donation, purchase from willing sellers, or exchange.
The Secretary shall administer land and interests in land acquired under this section as part of the Park in accordance with applicable laws (including regulations).
