The National Park Service runs, protects, and develops this national monument. The Secretary of the Interior directs that work. It must follow the 1916 law that created the Park Service, as later amended.
The National Park Service, directed by the Secretary of the Interior, is in charge of running, protecting, and developing the national monument referred to here. It must do this under the rules of the Act of August 25, 1916 — the law that created the National Park Service — as that law has since been amended. (This section's own text does not name which monument "the aforesaid national monument" refers to; that name is fixed by the surrounding law this section is part of.)
The administration, protection, and development of the aforesaid national monument shall be exercised under the direction of the Secretary of the Interior by the National Park Service, subject to the provisions of the Act of August 25, 1916, entitled “An Act to establish a National Park Service, and for other purposes”,1 as amended.
