16 U.S.C. § 459a–5 — Addition of lands; Naval Amphibious Training Station

This section is a single, undivided provision. Administrative jurisdiction over about twenty-one and eight-tenths acres of federally owned land transfers to the Secretary of the Interior. This land was formerly the Naval Amphibious Training Station. The transfer happens without reimbursement or moving any funds. It includes any improvements existing on the land at the time of transfer. The land sits on Ocracoke Island, within the village of Ocracoke, in Hyde County, North Carolina. The Department of the Interior administers the transferred property. It becomes part of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore Recreational Area once that area is established.
