This law sets aside specific tracts of California land, described by survey boundaries, as reserved forest land. People can't settle, occupy, or buy this land, and anyone who does becomes a trespasser who must be removed. It doesn't affect land entries made lawfully before October 1, 1890.

This section describes a specific set of land tracts in California using detailed survey boundary lines (starting at the northwest corner of a specific township and running through a series of township and range lines to close the boundary). That described land is reserved and withdrawn from settlement, occupancy, or sale under U.S. law, and set apart as reserved forest land. Anyone who settles on, occupies, or otherwise uses this land — except as the law otherwise allows — is considered a trespasser and must be removed. Nothing in this section, or in sections 55, 61, and 471d of this title, changes any bona fide land entry lawfully made within these boundaries before October 1, 1890.
