16 U.S.C. § 590f — Authorization of appropriations and conservation technical assistance funds

(a) Authorization of appropriations. Congress may appropriate whatever amounts it decides from time to time are needed for this chapter. Money for nursery stock produced or obtained by a federal agency, and money given to a federal agency to provide to cooperating States for nursery stock, remains available for no more than three fiscal years. (b) Conservation Technical Assistance Fund. (1) In general. The Treasury must have a fund called the "Conservation Technical Assistance Fund," or the "Fund." The Secretary of Agriculture administers it. (2) Deposits. The Fund must receive an amount equal to fees collected under section 590c(4), late payments, interest, and other amounts authorized under 31 U.S.C. § 3717. (3) Availability. Money in the Fund: (A) is available only to the extent and in the amount provided in advance by appropriations Acts; (B) must be used for the costs of carrying out this chapter; and (C) remains available until it is spent.
